Glen graduated from law school in 1982. A retired U.S Navy Captain, he served as a military judge and qualified as an attorney both in the United States and England. Retiring from the active practice of law after some 40 years, he wanted to continue using his speaking skills, and founded Utah Wedding Officiants. He jokes that he now has a profession where he can still help people, and they are actually happy to see him!
A licensed Christian Wedding Officiant, he also performs civil ceremonies as a County Clerk Designee (Utah and Weber Counties). He is also licensed to perform weddings in Hawaii. He has performed over 350 weddings since founding our company.
He and his wife of 42 years divide their time between family homes in Utah and Scotland.

John C. Liley, Jr., is a native of New Jersey. He came to Utah for the skiing, and didn’t leave! An established mortgage broker, he is a leader and speaker for the Masonic fraternity and a BMW adventure rider.
John is an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church And a Utah County Clerk Designee. He is our second longest serving celebrant and currently clean shaven.
A retired math and gifted education teacher, Melody continues to help others in the important steps of their life as a Utah Wedding Officiant. Those who best know her describe her as patient and kind.
As a county clerk designee she has performed over 60 ceremonies. Melody and Glen, who have been married 42 years, will perform marriages together to emphasize the importance of the partnership in marriage.
It is important to us that our officiants have real life experience. Sarah completed her doctorate as a single mother of four and is a hospice provider.
Active in Job’s Daughters, a Masonic Youth group, as a child and teenage, she was able to develop public speaking skills and confidence at an early age. She is our most requested celebrant and as of November 2022; had performed 25 ceremonies.
Sarah performs weddings as a County Clerk Designee.
A retired financial services executive, Lon now acts as the company secretary for a number of fraternal groups. he is our longest serving officiant and has performed approximately 100 ceremonie.
As a Utah County Clerk designee he is authorized to perform marriages throughout Utah and online. He is an experienced public speaker and one of our military veterans.
His favourite venue is the Church of Dirt.

Mary Katherine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is our referral for Salt Lake area counseling. She has performed over 30 ceremonies with her charming smile. She has three children and lives in East Millcreek.
