Yes, you really can do a Utah virtual wedding online.

A couple married in an online video conference wedding on Zoom with a Utah Wedding Officiant.

A wedding officiant physically located in Utah can perform your wedding without you ever setting foot in Utah.

At Utah Wedding Officiants, we can assist couples throughout the world in conducting a marriage ceremony online. It may be that one of you is deployed with the military, or due to quarantine requirements you or your family can’t travel.  There might be a waiting time for a marriage license where you live. Not all governments allow same sex marriages.  Utah does. Some wish to have a private ceremony, and then a separate ceremony for family.  It happens on occasion that one of the couple is critically ill and hospitalized with no visitors allowed.

You can apply for your Utah marriage  license online.  There is no residency requirement.  The marriage license is issued online. There is no waiting period.  You provide us copies of your government ID and pay our  fee online. We arrange a time to perform the online marriage within the 30 days the license is good for. After the ceremony, we then return the marriage license electronically.

It really is that easy.

Glen Cook performed one wedding where the couple were in New York, the groom’s parents in Russia, the bride’s in Virginia, and Glen officiating from Utah.

We note that we do not perform ceremonies for those who have not met in person .

Services are provided from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Utah time, unless a separate out of hours fee is agreed upon.

Prices subject to change.

Online weddings should be accepted where you live.

Always take advice on the law in your country.

Your Utah marriage certificate will state the marriage took place in Utah. It is a legal and valid marriage under the law of the State of Utah, and we will provide a written legal opinion stating so if asked.

While the standard is that a legal marriage in one jurisdiction is accepted in another, absent prohibited marriages, you should always take advice from a legal professional in your country on the subject. Click the image for an Australian opinion. Particularly, we are not immigration attorneys or advisers.

We encourage those wishing to provide proof to governments outside the US to request a letter of validity from Utah County, at marriage@utahcounty.gov, and to have Utah County issue an apostille certifying the certificate  to be a true copy.

Also, if you are emailing to  request a Letter of Validity, please use LETTER OF AUTHENTICATION as the subject line, include your full name, your spouse's full name and your marriage license number in the message.

Thanks!

Online weddings are family weddings

When your family can attend your online wedding from anywhere in the world.

It makes us happy to see families gather together for video conference weddings. We even leave the Zoom session  running after the online wedding ceremony is finished for a family reunion, meeting new family, and congratulating the bride and groom.
